How to Navigate a Crisis - Brisbane - Tuesday 4 August 2015
Tuesday 4 August 2015BrisbaneThe Society is pleased to advise of that Ted Williams of Piper Alderman and Graham Newton of McGrath Nicol will present on the topic of HOW TO NAVIGATE A CRISISManifestation of some risks can be so acute that that they threaten the survival of an organisation. Considering how you might best avoid (or manage) a crisis is best done in advance rather than in real-time as those decisions made “in the moment” are critical, sometimes fatal. Hear from experts who have been in that moment as they share what they have learnt in dealing with the many operational, legal and reputational issues that can arise.Ted is an infrastructure, construction and mining lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience, both in private practice and as general counsel. Ted was most recently general counsel at Thiess, one of Australia’s leading construction, mining and services contractors. In that role, he led a largeteam providing legal, strategic, commercial, governance, corporate, compliance, ethics, and risk management advice.Graham specialises in forensic investigations, dispute advisory, and fraud/corruption risk management. Graham has over 20 years’ experience in assisting senior executives, boards and government agencies in navigating through crisis situations, and also reviewing and improvingcorporate governance frameworks. To book, RSVP before Monday 3 August 2015.
