BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING _êã WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

The session will provide an overview of Building Information Modelling (placing particular focus on the adoption of BIM in the Australian construction industry). The session will also explore the legal and practical issues that contracting parties need to consider and manage when proposing to use BIM. How to Build a High Rise

The session will be presented by Dr Chris Haberfield (Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Golder Associates Pty Ltd). Dr Haberfield has been responsible for the provision of advice in relation to review, value engineering, engineering design, analysis, construction and testing of a range of numerous low to high rise commercial and residential towers and various other infrastructure. Some examples include the new Gateway Bridge tender design and North-South Bypass tunnel in Brisbane, the Burnley tunnel, the East Link tunnels and proposed East West tunnel portals in Melbourne.
