Speaker | Michael Christie SC - Barrister – 6 Selborne Wentworth Chambers Michael Christie SC practises at 6 Selborne Wentworth Chambers, Sydney. He has appeared throughout Australia and in Singapore-seated international commercial arbitrations. He has appeared in over 40 appeals in construction and technology related matters. He has also appeared before Court-appointed referees in New South Wales and Victoria. Michael is formerly a Part-time Lecturer in Law at Sydney University Law School and is a guest lecturer in Melbourne Law School’s Masters Program in Construction Law. He is a graduate of Sydney and Oxford Universities. Michael is the General Editor of the Building and Construction Law Journal, published by Thomson Reuters. |
Moderator | Ella Wallwork – HFW Australia Ella is an experienced construction litigator who specialises in disputes arising out of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Ella specialises in running large-scale, highly technical disputes. She has extensive experience with disputes related to tunnelling and rail projects. Ella also has a special interest in renewable energy projects, in particular wind farms. Her practice benefits from significant experience in insurance law and insurance disputes, as well as experience in Australia and the United Kingdom. Ella is also Chair of the Proud Network Australia and is proactively involved with pro bono initiatives relating to human rights. |
