“Building Bridges: Effective Mediation in Construction Disputes”

Presented by Adrienne Parker (Pinsent Masons), Michael Hollingdale (Hollingdales), Melissa Koo (Squire Patton Boggs), John Fisher (Mediator). Moderated by Douglas Johnson (Barrister)

Mediation plays an important role in bringing parties together to resolve a construction dispute. Get it right, and you can maximise the prospect of achieving a settlement prior to trial. But get it wrong, and the parties can become further entrenched in their positions.

In this joint event held with the Resolution Institute, our panel of experienced mediators and construction lawyers will explore practical aspects of mediation practice. The panel will discuss tips for conducting an effective mediation, pitfalls to avoid, and the unique features of mediating a construction dispute.

The event will formally commence at 5:30 pm AWST. There will be time for attendees to ask questions at the conclusion of the discussion, followed by networking drinks.

This event is free to attend for SoCLA and Resolution Institute members.
