ABCB Consultation on the Integrity of private building surveyors

Monday 19 Apr 2021

In 2017, Building Minsters authorised an assessment of the effectiveness of compliance and enforcement systems for the building and construction industry across Australia. The resulting Building Confidence Report (BCR) made 24 recommendations for a best practice model for compliance and enforcement, to strengthen the effective implementation of the National Construction Code (NCC).

The ABCB have prepared a discussion paper on the integrity of private building surveyors and their role in enforcement. SoCLA will be preparing a submission on behalf of its members to the ABCB.

Members are invited to provide their comments on the discussion paper on the integrity of private building surveyors to the Society at chair@scl.org.au by noon on 26 April.
