Improving Outcomes in Government Procurement of Major Projects

Australian governments spend vast amounts of taxpayer funds on the procurement of major projects every year. Whilst government’s track record is pretty good, instances remain where taxpayer funds are wasted. The amounts involved are significant, and taxpayers deserve better. This paper considers how the waste can be reduced, and how procurement outcomes can be improved.
