Thursday 9 June 2016 5.30 pm for 6:00 pm start at Ashurst Level 38, Riverside Centre, 123 Eagle St, Brisbane     Melanie Hindman, Northbank Chambers Merissa Martinez, Paloma Chambers will present on the topic of: challenging times – navigating recent developments in jurisdictional errors and natural justice Melanie Hindman is a sought after building and construction and property barrister.  Called to the bar in 2003, she regularly acts for major construction, development and mining related companies, as well as the State of Queensland.  She has been consistently recommended for a number of years in Doyle's Leading Queensland Construction and Infrastructure Barristers list, including in 2015 as one of three preeminent junior counsel.  Merissa Martinez is a construction dispute specialist with international experience including as a partner at Trowers & Hamlins LLP in London.  Recommended by the Legal 500 in 2013 and co-author of several construction law publications including the Construction Adjudication and Payments Handbook published by Oxford University Press in 2013, her practice focuses on construction dispute avoidance and resolution with particular emphasis on adjudications.
