SoCLA Event - Sydney - 20 July 2017 - New Frontiers in Dispute Avoidance and Management

Members in Sydney are invited to a seminar on New Frontiers in Dispute Avoidance and Management on 20 July 2017 at 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start In this seminar, Lina Fischer, Partner, Clayton Utz, will explore how an innovative new contracting model developed by the Department of Defence, which focuses on "Integrated Project Delivery" and the "Project Risk and Issue Settlement Model", can enhance communication, collaboration and successful project completion. Professor Ian Bailey AM SC, barrister,will then examine some new approaches to dispute avoidance and management including the new process of "Contract Facilitation". To conclude, Lina and Ian will be joined by Reuben Bowd, Senior Legal Counsel at Sydney Trains, for a panel discussion on the pros and cons of these models, moderated by barrister Laina Chan.
