Charrett Moot

Members in Melbourne are invited to express their interest in entering the inaugural Charrett Moot to be held in October and November 2015.
Members are reminded of the inaugural Charrett Moot organised by the Young Constructors Committee. A key objective of the moot is to encourage young practitioners with limited public speaking experience to be involved in advocacy.  The moot is design to be a relaxed learning opportunity, whilst also giving participants the chance to step out of their comfort zone in a supportive environment. The Charrett Moot targets junior practitioners in the construction industry.  We aim to attract those at 3PQE or earlier, in all construction related industries and construction students are also encouraged to participate. The moot will run in October / November 2015 and all moot rounds will be held in the Melbourne CBD, subject to availability. Further details of the moot can be found here. All interested participants are requested to email chair_ycc_subcommittee@scl.org.au with the following information, by COB 31 August 2015: Name Position and Company Contact email address Number of years in practice or student details Will you be joining as a team or would you like SoCLA to create a team for you?
