Our Speakers
Scott Budd
Scott is a Partner at King & Wood Mallesons.
Scott is an advisor on major construction projects and major construction disputes for a broad range of clients including government, private sector proponents, contractors, financiers, owner groups and industry professionals.
Scott provides advice on all aspects of front-end project work, risk analysis and allocation, project structuring, development of delivery systems, contract and tender preparation, bid assessment and bid advice. In addition, Scott is a highly experienced construction litigator, having conducted court proceedings in all States of Australia, as well as international and domestic arbitrations.
Kiri Parr
Kiri is a member of the FIDIC Contract Committee and is the committee liaison for TG17, the task group developing a collaborative contract model for the FIDIC Contract suite.
By day, Kiri is an academic, speaker and consultant in the Australian Construction industry, challenging how we think about procurement and project delivery to drive more reliable outcomes. As a senior fellow at Melbourne University, Kiri lectures the subject Major Project Delivery - the Legal Interfaces.
Kiri is on the boards of SoCLA and DRBF Region 3 and was past president of Consult Australia, and regional counsel for Arup Australasia for 15 years.
