Registrations for our 2022 National Conference on 10-12 March 2022 have not yet opened

Entitlements

Registration entitles delegates to the following:

  • Welcome Reception
  • Attendance at all Conference Sessions
  • Daily catering as per the program
  • Closing Drinks
  • Access to Conference App
  • Conference schedule
  • Satchel
  • Name badge

Acknowledgements

Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Payment must accompany your form to confirm your registration.

Cancellation and refund policy

  • Cancellation of face-to-face event

If the face-to-face Conference scheduled for 14-16 October is cancelled by SoCLA due to an outbreak of COVID-19 restricting travel to, or circulation within, Hobart or Tasmania (or within a number of states/territories), SoCLA will, if possible, hold a virtual Conference and all delegates will be transferred to the virtual Conference.  SoCLA will publicise the per-person cost of attending a virtual Conference.  The difference in price between in-person attendance and virtual attendance will be refunded to delegates so transferred.

If no virtual event is possible, registration will be refunded in full, less any (per person) costs imposed by the venues and/or service providers that are not refunded to SoCLA by those venues and/or subcontractors. SoCLA will make every effort to negotiate with the venues and service providers to maximise the refund provided to delegates.

  • Postponement of face-to-face event

If the face-to-face event is postponed by SoCLA due to an outbreak of COVID-19 restricting travel to, or circulation within, Hobart or Tasmania, delegates will be notified immediately and offered assignment of equivalent registration for the new date. If the new date is unsuitable for individual delegates those delegates’ registration will be refunded in full.

  • Registration changes

Delegates who are unable to attend the Conference due to their home location being in a declared COVID-19 hot spot and travel away from that location restricted will be offered the opportunity to attend the Conference virtually. If those delegates take up that opportunity then the difference in price between in-person attendance and virtual attendance will be refunded.  No refund will be applicable to delegates who do not take up the offer of virtual attendance or otherwise make contact with SoCLA about their individual situations. 

  • Travel and Accommodation

SoCLA is not responsible for any cancellation charges from delegates’ travel and accommodation providers.  SoCLA recommends all delegates satisfy themselves with the terms of those agreements and/or purchase appropriate travel insurance.

 

Delegates are advised that segments of the Conference may be filmed or photographed. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, or your name and organisation included in the delegate list, please notify the Conference Organiser on chair_conferences_subcommittee@scl.org.au. By registering you are deemed to have accepted that you may be photographed or filmed, unless you have otherwise notified the Conference Organiser.
