"How to build a high rise building – Stage 4: Financing and Planning the Project"

By Amanda Ring (Director of SJB Planning)

and

Larry Mahaffy (CFO of AVJennings)

Thursday 27 October 2016

5:45pm for 6:00pm start

Following the highly successful seminars on "Stage 1: Architecture," "Stage 2: Geotechnical Engineering" and "Stage 3: Valuing the Works", the Society now presents the next chapter in its series on ‘how to build a high rise building’.  Forthcoming presentations will consider: sales and legal documentation.

Amanda is the Managing Director of SJB Planning, a first tier planning and development approval practice in Southbank.  Amanda's work focusses on achieving the best possible planning approval outcomes for clients in times of unprecedented population growth, uncertain but tightening statutory frameworks and increasing litigation.  Amanda regularly appears in those forums as an expert witness and is well regarded and respected in her field.

With more than 20 years of construction lending experience alternating between front-end structuring and back-end recovery, Larry has been involved in the delivery of many tall commercial and residential buildings in Australia and New Zealand.  Larry has led teams working to recover the major property construction exposures of a GFC-impaired English bank.  He is currently the Chief Financial Officer of AVJennings Limited, a listed Australian land developer and integrated home builder.
