SoCLA's Young Constructors Committee and Consult Australia's FutureNet are presenting a panel event on 5 June 2019.  It will provide in-depth insights and lessons learned regarding disaster recovery in Victoria and elsewhere from public policy, engineering and legal perspectives.

In the wake of the tenth anniversary of the Black Saturday Bushfires, we invite you to join this important discussion on the challenges faced, lessons learned and necessary changes to ensure that everyone can recover and rebuild in the event of a major emergency.

The panel includes experts in public policy, engineering and legal frameworks for responding to major emergencies and facilitating disaster recovery.  The guest panellists are:

Carl Devereux  |  NZ Regional Director, Aurecon

Jenni Rigby  |  Director of Relief and Recovery, Emergency Management Victoria

Jo Teagle  |  Partner, Clayton Utz

Karl Sullivan  |  General Manager for the Policy, Risk and Disaster Planning Directorate, Insurance Council of Australia

Stephen Kip  |  Fire Engineer, SKIP Consulting

Capacity is restricted to the first 40 registrations.

If you wish to attend, please RSVP by using SoCLA's online registration system.  As it is "first in, first served" event, please submit your RSVP as soon as possible.
