Design Co-Ordination in the D&B Environment and the role of BIM

Wednesday 17 Oct 2018
5:15 pm for a 6:00 pm start
Location:
DLA Piper, Level 22, 1 Martin Place, Sydney (entry off Pitt Street)

SoCLA and DLA Piper invite you to attend this exciting presentation by Stuart Macdougald-Denton, Head of Diales Technical - Technical Expert.

Stuart is a leading architectural and construction expert who provides technical expert witness services worldwide and has given expert opinion in more than 150 disputes.

By drawing on this experience, Stuart’s presentation discusses:

  • the disconnect between typical terms of the consultants’ appointments and what the contractor wants during the construction process;
  • the role of the contractor, sub-contractor and the consultants in identifying and rectifying defects during construction; and
  • how BIM can help save time and money, minimise inconsistencies and errors in design deliverables and minimise defects in construction.

And, knowing Stuart, he will have a smorgasbord of illustrated examples of when things go wrong!

This event is a “must-see” for Quantity Surveyors, architects, engineers, project managers and project owners, and lawyers alike.
