SoCLA is honoured to announce that Jodi Steele SC at 13 Wentworth Chambers, Stefan Fenk, Partner at Hall & Wilcox, and Dr Navid Sedaghati the Senior Lawyer at CPB DT Infrastructure JV will be presenting on the very important topic of Security in construction projects in light of the recent New South Wales Court of Appeal decision in Acciona v EnerMech.

The event will be moderated by Kelly Linton, Director – Legal, Commercial & Claims at BlueVisions.

Registration will commence at 5:30 pm. The formal presentation will commence promptly at 6.00pm AEST in person in Sydney and the event will be simulcast / livestreamed for others wishing to view the event from elsewhere in Australia.  Please note any time difference for other locations.

There will be an opportunity for all attendees to ask questions at the end of the event.  

The event will be hosted by Hall & Wilcox at their Sydney office and will be followed by drinks and light snacks and will provide attendees with an opportunity to network with others who have an interest in the construction industry and arbitration / construction law. Stefan Fenk, Partner, Hall & Willcox
Stefan Fenk has over 14 years’ experience in construction, engineering and infrastructure law and has acted in an array of large-scale project disputes, arbitrations, expert determinations, adjudications, mediations and facilitated negotiations.
 

Dr Navid Sedaghati, Senior Legal & Commercial Executive at CPB Contractors
Dr Navid Sedaghati brings over 21 years of end-to-end legal experience from private practice, in-house counsel and as a barrister within top tier chambers, as well as the perspective in his current role as the senior lawyer responsible for all of the legal work on the Warringah Freeway Upgrade JV.
 

Moderator

Kelly Linton, Director, Legal, Commercial & Claims, BlueVisions
Kelly Linton has 15+ years in construction and commercial management. Her recent work includes working for consultancies and being seconded into projects as a Senior Commercial Manager with Australia’s tier-one contractors as well as experience within claims management and leading procurement teams in pre-contracts and delivery phases of projects.
