SoCLA Conference 2017

Welcome

The Society of Construction Law Australia and the Conference Organising Committee are pleased to invite you to be part of the National Conference, themed “The New Wave”.

The conference’s speakers include some of the most recognised and respected names within the construction law and building and construction industries.

The Conference will kick off on Thursday 27th July 2017 with welcome drinks to be held at the Broadbeach Surf Club. Our Patron, Justice Peter Vickery has been invited to present a welcome address.

The Sofitel Broadbeach will be a fantastic setting for the formal conference program which will commence on Friday 28th July with a full day of presentations from our speakers who are eminent national practitioners in the construction industry who have been invited because of their knowledge, experience, reputation and their ability to cover the breadth of issues in the program. The Conference presents an ideal opportunity to learn of current trends and issues, and network with some of the nation’s leading industry practitioners. The conference format will continue through to Saturday 29th July with a morning of sessions and the grand final of the Charrett Moot then networking drinks to conclude the program.

On the evening of Friday 28th July we will be hosting the Conference Gala Dinner at a special and iconic Gold Coast venue – the Ballroom of the Versace Hotel. The evening will involve a spirited and entertaining debate by leading professionals, as well as other entertainment on the evening.

If you would like to participate in this conference as a sponsor, please contact the Sponsorship Manager at chair_conferences_subcommittees@scl.org.au.

On behalf of SoCLA and the Conference Organising Subcommittee, I look forward to welcoming you as part of our National Conference 2017.
