The construction industry has faced years of unprecedented uncertainty, from COVID-19, supply chain disruption, labour shortages, high inflation, geopolitical instability and the recent fuel crisis.

Extraordinary events continue to impact delivery, and questions remain as to whether traditional construction contracts adequately allocate the resulting time and cost risks fairly and in the best interests of projects and the wider health of the construction industry.

This event will include both presentations and a panel discussion identifying feedback from the market from a legal, quantity surveying and contractor perspective.

Attendees will gain insights into recent legal developments and will gain a better understanding of the practical challenges of managing commercial risk in an increasingly volatile environment.

The session will examine lessons learned from recent disruptions and consider how the industry can better respond to future uncertainty.
